Tenuta dell' Ornellaia Ornellaia Bolgheri 2020
33% OFF RETAIL!
One of Italy’s two or three greatest estates, Ornellaia was founded by Lodovico Antinori on the Bolgheri coast in 1981 and has been wholly owned by Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi since 2005. The 2020 is a landmark in a run of exceptional vintages. Jeb Dunnuck awarded 97+, Vinous 97, James Suckling 97, Wine Advocate 97, Decanter 97, Wine Spectator 96, and Wine Enthusiast 96. A wine of stunning complexity and depth, showing all the hallmarks of Ornellaia at its finest: cassis, dark plum, graphite, iron, and Mediterranean herbs on the nose, with a full, structured, supremely energetic palate of remarkable definition and length. Seven critics in the high 90s. This is one of the great recent vintages from one of Italy’s most coveted estates. Very limited. Don’t miss it.
