Tassi Brunello di Montalcino from the epic 2020 vintage has arrived, and we could levitate with joy. Put two bottles in your cart, and get free shipping AND the lowest price in the entire world on this tremendous and famed Sangiovese!

Fabio Tassi could effectively be the unofficial mayor of Montalcino. His wine shop is set inside Montalcino’s famed castle fortress, he owns two immensely popular restaurants, and that’s not even scratching the surface of his prized and breathtaking winery. His family has kept beehives in the area for generations, crafting world-class honey, and Fabio’s grandfather Guido Franci began his wine pursuits as a sharecropper for the legendary Biondi-Santi family in the 1920s. When Fabio took over the family business, he worked tirelessly to expand their land holdings, quickly building a reputation for some of the finest, most expressive Sangiovese ever known.

Then there’s the actual winery – a state-of-the-art, organic-certified facility opened in 2019 that’s built entirely out of laminated wood and operates on a gravity-fed system across two levels. No need for aggressive mechanical pumps, and they also utilize a natural perimeter ditch to regulate temperature. Careful design and thoughtful winemaking and farming is an apparent priority at every turn – and it unequivocally shows in this team’s immaculate wines.

The 96-point 2020 is pure silk in a bottle with blackberries, cherries, and red currants wrapped in blood orange, roasted sage, black pepper, cinnamon, and high-toned florals, with a minty lift and ultra-fine tannins. Woof, just so ridiculously good. Grab two and watch the price skyrocket down to JUST $60, with free shipping! Why does it all of a sudden feel like Christmas?! Just, go!

About The Producer

The Tassi company was founded by Guido Franci who worked as a sharecropper for the Biondi Santi family since he was a young boy in the early 1900s. Guido's other passion was beekeeping and making honey on the property as well. The family ran winery is now in the hands of Fabio Tassi, Guido's grandson, who continues the tradition of winemaking and the selling of honey as well as quality products of the territory. The facility is state of the art with a gravity flow system that limits the use of pumps in a winery. The estate has a state-of-the-art facility, combined with an exceptional hospitality experience and making fabulous wines under the beautiful Tuscany sun.
