"The Investor" – a name that perfectly encapsulates the intensity and dimension of this wine. From a historic Napa Valley estate, this wine has earned 93 points from James Suckling, who calls it “well-polished and structured,” and offers nearly 40% in savings!

We may not know who the secretive investor is, but we do know for a fact how quickly the bottle disappears after opening it (just ask our First Bottle team). Thoughtfully, a blend of 40% Merlot, 32% Petite Sirah, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Malbec makes up this lovely, decadent, and beautifully harmonious red wine from some of Napa Valley’s most vibrant and enriched appellations! We don’t have nearly enough to make the rounds to everyone, so if you’re feeling the itch to add to cart, don’t even consider hesitating!

The fruit is a true amalgamation of multiple jaw-dropping sites across Napa Valley, some from other growers and some from Stags’ Leap’s own estate vineyards. As most Napa wine admirers know, 2021 was a kicking year – one of the best in decades and notable for developing ripe, rich, exceptionally high-quality fruit. Warm and dry conditions brought an early start to harvest, along with low yields from drought – but the grapes that made it to the end are filled with impeccable nuance and balance. The fruit here was separated by variety, fermented, and aged on 35% new French oak for 18 months before blending and bottling.

The final wine is a roller-coaster of rich, hedonistic goodness – without any distracting weightiness – running the gamut of succulent blackberries, blueberries, and plums before turning to a more brooding essence of intense boysenberry pie, dusty cocoa powder, and garden thyme magic. Rich as can be, velvety smooth, mouth-coating, and soul-fulfilling – it’s got all you could want in a red wine, and then some! Polished off with spicy oak and sultry vanilla bean notes, this is an undeniable, no-questions, gotta-have-it bottle, especially if you love Napa blends with serious pedigree, tons of praise, and nearly 40% off the normal price-tag! Make your move before our limited numbers fly off the shelves!

PAIRING IDEAS: A bottle of wine fit for your best group of pals calls for an equally celebratory meal – a rich, coffee-rubbed Santa Maria tri-tip, with a side of heirloom tomato and cucumber salad topped with fresh herbs, is the dreamiest sidekick to The Investor.

About The Producer

Most people are familiar with the modern version of Stags' Leap Winery, but did you know it was a fashionable country resort in the mid-twentieth century, popular with Hollywood types due to its 1892 stone Manor House and historic gardens, legends of bootleggers and gangsters, ghosts and gypsies? Since then, Stags' Leap has been home to three major family groups up through the modern revitalization of the winery that began in the 1970s. Winemaker Christophe Paubert blends cabernet sauvignon, malbec, merlot and petite sirah for a full-on blockbuster red with silky texture, fine structure and flowing ripe red and blue fruits, toasted spices, tobacco and licorice. A huge mouthful of Napa goodness at a simply head-spinning price!
