This organic, family-run winery churns out some of our all-time favorite Piemontese wines! You can get today’s brilliant, enduring, and beefy 91-point Piemonte Red for an incredible price.

Get ready for Rivetti! Count these guys as one of our favorite Italian family producers, who focus on the ultimate expression of Piemonte. Their Barolos and Barbarescos are out of this world – but this sneaky little Langhe blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot is pretty darn special, too! Drink this while your big gun stuff ages – it’s so good and amazingly well-priced (we direct-imported it just for you)!

When you just want a terrific drinker for a price you can’t beat, this is it – a cool blend of merlot and cabernet sauvignon, 100% organic, from one of our all-time favorite producers in Barbaresco. If you’ve been a First Bottler for a while, you may be familiar with them already – Rivetti is a fan fave from way back (we even went truffle hunting with them in 2019 and got 3 good ones), and their star has continued to quickly rise. Organic and sustainable farming has been the focus for decades, and these wines often outshine their neighbors, while maintaining their highly attractive price point! We routinely put these in blind tastings up against the best of the region – if you love Piemonte the way we do, you’ll want to do the same!

Deep, dark berries and plum notes, and wonderfully spicy and complex aromas take over in the glass. 2017 was a warm vintage, no doubt, but if you’ve had a lot of Piemontese wines, you know that can be a good thing! This is richly fruity, with coffee and cocoa accents, and a dusty, dried herb quality. Uber fresh, tantalizingly succulent, and immaculately structured for as little as 20 bucks a pop! Ask me, it’s a GOOD day to stock up your Piemonte stores!

PAIRING IDEAS: Slow-braised pork ragu over a thick pappardelle noodle is the move, and go real fancy with some shaved truffle on top (or at least some fresh-grated parmesan).

About The Producer

Massimo Rivetti Family Farm with its 25 hectares, cultivated under the organic certification, grows both traditional and international grapes. The annual production is around 100.000 bottles, mainly divided between Barbaresco and Barbera d'Alba. All the fields are grouped around three farm houses: Froi, Garassino and Palazzina. Inside the first one, situated into the village of Neive, there is the winery which is built on Serraboella hill, one of the most important for the production of Barbaresco.
