Bâtard-Montrachet is known as the ultimate land of the great Grand Cru Chardonnays. Set in the Côte de Beaune, this legendary Burgundian vineyard is the perfect environment for growing world-class Chardonnay – and this majestic 2021 vintage stands as absolute proof!

The magic lies in the soil and the hands behind it. Bâtard-Montrachet's rolling, limestone-rich slopes integrate a profound, steely minerality into the wine, giving it an alluring balance of dense richness and vivid freshness. While the low-yielding 2021 Burgundy vintage was a nail-biter for growers, it resulted in whites of jaw-dropping tension and energy. Second-generation vintner Nicolas Potel is the masterful winemaker (critic Jasper Morris has said he’s “in the class of the very best that Burgundy can produce”), and his wines continue to bowl us over.

We can only passionately and wholly concur with Jasper after experiencing this exceptionally intense, structured, and multi-layered Grand Cru. It expertly toes the line between opulent texture and searing acidity, delivering a long, majestic, and velvety finish built for the long haul. With a retail price of $600 slashed down to our price of $299, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more mind-blowing deal on top-tier White Burgundy. Don’t waste another minute in making one of these bottles yours! Only half a case to go around!

About The Producer

Maison Roche de Bellene was founded in 2005 by Nicolas Potel, a renowned Burgundian winemaker with deep family roots in the region. After establishing his reputation through Domaine de Rochegrès and his own négociant business, Potel launched Roche de Bellene as a high-quality, terroir-driven négociant house. Focused on sourcing fruit from old-vine, sustainably farmed vineyards across Burgundy, the maison offers a diverse range of wines, from regional Bourgogne to prestigious Grand Cru bottlings. The philosophy is centered on minimal intervention winemaking, allowing each terroir’s expression to shine through with purity and elegance. Today, Maison Roche de Bellene continues to be a respected name in Burgundy, known for its meticulous sourcing, consistent quality, and commitment to sustainable viticulture, offering both accessible and collectible wines that reflect the essence of the region.
