The 2018 Inspirado Red Blend is 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot. In addition to carrying the unique distinction of being Celia’s least expensive wine, it is simply fantastic. A lot of young vine material proves its worth here, with a finely vibrant, and exceptionally bright young cabernet – that has an elegant friendliness suitable for drinking young...like right now, for instance. Fresh raspberries, sweet sage, blueberries, lilacs, and all things exuberant and charming...with a medium weight and a silky softness that shows a judicious kiss of French oak. 93 points from Vinous is quite admirable for their entry-level cabernet, and certainly worth reading below. I’d argue that it is the second-best Inspirado they’ve ever made (after my vintage, of course).

About The Producer

Keever Vineyards, situated in the renowned Napa Valley, boasts a history steeped in passion and dedication to winemaking excellence. Founded by Bill and Olga Keever, the story begins in the early 1990s when the Keever family acquired a pristine plot of land in the Yountville region of Napa Valley. Recognizing the potential of the soil and climate for grape cultivation, they embarked on a journey to establish a world-class winery. The vineyard's first plantings were in 1999, carefully selecting varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah to craft exceptional wines. Over the years, the Keever family's commitment to sustainable farming practices and their unwavering focus on producing high-quality, limited-production wines have earned them a prominent position in Napa Valley's esteemed winemaking community. Their wines reflect a deep respect for the land, a dedication to craftsmanship, and a profound love for the art of winemaking.
