Kapcsándy crafts one of Napa Valley’s most legendary Cabernet Sauvignons as a long-cherished, top-tier estate. This structured, layered, impeccably defined beauty of age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon has drawn direct comparisons to First Growth mega-stars like Château Latour. In fact, a visit to Bordeaux in the late ‘90s is what inspired Hungarian immigrant Lou Kapcsándy to start his own estate, a dream he undertook with his son, Louis Jr. The entire valley floor estate was replanted in the early 2000s, with a gorgeous winery to follow soon after. Although most people mispronounce the wine/winery (correct pronunciation: “Cup-chon-dy”), it has still grown to be among the upper echelon of Napa Estates, cracking the 100-point barrier more than a handful of times.
Speaking of which, the 2021 boasts perfection in a bottle, with 100 POINTS from The Wine Independent (plus a 99, 98, and 97+ for good measure). Check out the review below, then fly to the cart to snag this top-flight Napa Cab.
