Kapcsándy is one of Napa Valley’s most elite, top-tier estates – and today we have their “absolutely stunning” and “sublime” 99 POINT Rapszodia Cabernet Franc available to you! These are unimaginably limited, and we have a top-secret, enormous discount that automatically unveils once you pop two of these beautiful gems into your cart. What are you waiting for?!

The always immaculate Kapcsandy “Rapszodia” Cabernet Franc has long been a personal favorite – and it’s one of the few Napa Valley Cabernet Francs that can stand toe-to-toe with the winery’s estate flagship Cabernet Sauvignon. With a glowing review of 99 points from Jeb Dunnuck, this is a gem that would make any Napa collection shine a bit brighter.

A visit to Bordeaux in the late ‘90s is what inspired Hungarian immigrant Lou Kapcsándy to start his own estate, a dream he undertook with his son, Louis Jr. The entire valley floor estate was replanted in the early 2000s, with a gorgeous winery to follow soon after. Although most people mispronounce the wine/winery (say it with me: “Cup-chon-dy”), it has still grown to be among the upper echelon of Napa Estates, cracking the 100-point barrier more than a handful of times.

This is 100% Cabernet Franc from the Kapcsandy’s Yountville estate, and a wine of harmonious and lasting purity – Jeb called it “just about pure perfection in a glass” after all! With a crunchy, bursting blueberry and blackberry core, it explodes from the glass in layers of dark fruit, wildflowers, tarragon, black tea, and pencil lead. Exquisitely balanced, generously concentrated but not at all heavy… this is one you sincerely need in your cellar. Better to add two and get our mega two bottle price drop AND free shipping!

FOOD PAIRINGS: A juicy fresh chili-lime chicken burger and this rich, poised Franc would absolutely slap (as the children say).

About The Producer

Kapcsándy Family Winery, established in 2000 by Hungarian immigrant Lou Kapcsándy and his family, is a boutique, family-run estate located in Yountville, Napa Valley. The winery is situated on the historic 20-acre State Lane Vineyard, formerly a key source for Beringer's Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. After acquiring the property, the Kapcsándy family undertook an extensive replanting effort, meticulously dividing the vineyard into 15 specific blocks planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. They employed sustainable farming practices, including the use of nesting boxes and cover crops, to enhance vineyard health and biodiversity. The winery's commitment to quality is evident in their rigorous vineyard management and winemaking processes, resulting in highly acclaimed wines such as their Estate Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon and Roberta's Reserve Merlot. Following Lou's passing in 2021, his son, Louis Jr., continues to uphold the family's dedication to producing wines that reflect the finesse and elegance reminiscent of European grand crus.
