Jakob Schneider has built a reputation in the Nahe for wines of precision, and the Niederhäuser Klamm site is known for producing Rieslings with cut, clarity, and tension. In the cool, structured 2020 vintage, this Kabinett is all about bright citrus, stone fruit, and that electric acidity Nahe lovers chase. It's elegance with a humming, electric edge.

About The Producer

Weingut Jakob Schneider represents one of the oldest wine families in Germany, tracing its presence in Niederhäusen on the Nahe back to 1575. The estate remains family-run under Jakob Schneider Jr., who brought fresh energy after studying at Geisenheim and working in the Wachau before returning home. Schneider oversees roughly 45 hectares—including some of the steepest, most complex sites like Niederhäuser Klamm—and works closely with nature to nurture the volcanic and slate soils that define the Nahe. While modernization has improved cellar precision, the wines still reflect an old-world minerality and a strong sense of site identity, with both traditional dry and Kabinett styles in the portfolio.
