Groth is an Oakville icon, responsible for crafting Napa’s first ever 100-point wine. Today’s bottle of their textural and lively 2021 Oakcross Proprietary Red secured a cool 95 points and happens to be the lowest price ANYWHERE when you place an order of two or more bottles!

Groth has been instrumental in making Oakville the most prestigious AVA in North America – quite the shift from Dennis Groth’s former career as the CFO of Atari. Their journey from video games to Cabernet vines was guided by the legendary Ren Harris – a Napa visionary who has stood as one the valley’s most important builders for decades. “Oakcross” is the name given to their estate vineyard when it was first planted in 1973, and this Cabernet Sauvignon-leading blend has been a brand torchbearer for decades.

After recently tasting the 2021 vintage, it’s clear that between the pedigree of this great property, and the idyllic conditions of Napa's 2021 harvest – something truly prolific has been created here. A well-deserved 95 point score from Vinous is only the tip of the iceberg! Bold and wildly aromatic, the 2021 Oakcross delivers a vibrant mix of raspberry, blackberry jam, and blueberry-lavender latte, grounded by savory hints of graphite, grilled herbs, and dark chocolate. The palate kicks off with dark plum before diving into tart cherry, espresso, and a touch of mint and sage with exceptional smoothness thanks to its velvety, plush tannins.

This is a robust, complex, and fantastically concentrated red that is sure to impress for the next decade or more. Normally $110 at the winery, we’ve secured a special, secret, ultra-low price on just two or more bottles for you today… while we have it in stock, at least! Go see the unbelievable savings for yourself when you add two to your cart!

FOOD PAIRINGS: Go for some smoky, tangy BBQ pulled chicken sandwiches on fluffy brioche buns for a gorgeously rich and powerful counterpart to such a big and vibrant red.

About The Producer

Founded in 1982 by former Atari executive Dennis Groth and his wife Judy, Groth is a beloved family-owned fixture in the heart of Napa Valley's Oakville region. They quickly put themselves on the global wine map when their 1985 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon became the very first California wine to earn a perfect 100-point score from critic Robert Parker. Today, the family legacy continues to thrive across their 165 acres of estate vineyards under the leadership of Dennis and Judy’s daughter, Suzanne Groth, who serves as President and CEO.
