It’s beginning to look a lot like Cab-mas! And we’re celebrating, BIG time. You’ve probably heard of a little vineyard called Beckstoffer Georges III before… I’s, oh I don’t know, only one of the most famous sites in all of Napa Valley. The rising star that is Grape Culture pulled fruit exclusively from this spot for this 2022 Cab, and you’re never going to believe the price we’re slinging when you order 2 or more bottles.

Grape Culture is one of Napa Valley’s most exciting to watch stars on the rise. The Cranor family launched the label in 2019, hoping to make wines from some of the valley’s most respected sites after spending almost two decades running Nottingham Cellars in Livermore. Collin Cranor brought on Craig Ploof as Director of Winemaking, and together they’ve landed fruit from some mighty patches of earth, including Sugarloaf Mountain, vineyards across Oakville, Rutherford, and Howell Mountain, and today’s superstar: Beckstoffer Georges III.

This Rutherford vineyard is royalty, first planted in 1895 by valley pioneer Thomas Rutherford, then purchased in 1928 by Beaulieu Vineyard founder Georges de Latour. His legendary winemaker, André Tchelistcheff, used its fruit to make BV’s iconic Rutherford Cabernets. Today, the roughly 300-acre site is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and is considered one of the most coveted vineyards in California.

Pure, concentrated, and intense, this opens with a bodacious core of black cherry and blueberry wrapped in dusty earth and dried sage. It’s both textured and focused, with a youthful tension and energy that demonstrates its capability of long-term aging. The signature Rutherford dust is jolly and present, with grippy tannins and a lingering finish. We’ve got it down from $200 to under $160 on 1, and under $90 on 2 or more with free shipping. Dreamy Cabs from this vineyard rarely (if ever) come around for this price, so do what you gotta do!

FOOD PAIRINGS: A nice, juicy seared ribeye with garlic, butter, and herb mashed potatoes and roasted carrots is going to be the bee’s knees with this dusty and bold Rutherford Cab.

About The Producer

Grape Culture is Collin Cranor's bet on himself, and so far it's paying off handsomely. Cranor grew up in the East Bay drawn to wine from an early age, founded Nottingham Cellars in Livermore Valley in 2009 at just 23 years old, and spent the next decade building a following before making the decision to relocate his family and production to Napa Valley — a significant gamble that has quickly validated itself. Grape Culture launched with the 2019 vintage, focused from the start on single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from some of Napa's most compelling sites, including Beckstoffer Georges III in Rutherford, a Mount Veeder parcel called Nosotros, and an Oakville bottling from the Oakview vineyard. Cranor brought in his friend Craig Ploof as director of winemaking, and as of 2025 Ploof has become a full partner across all three of the Cranor family brands. The wines have drawn immediate critical attention, with Jeb Dunnuck awarding 96 points to the 2021 Nosotros and calling it a stunningly classic mountain Cabernet, and the estate has moved quickly from a curious newcomer to a name collectors are watching closely. The approach is site-driven and precision-focused, letting the individual character of each vineyard lead rather than imposing a house style across the lineup.
