Pinot Noir
| Burgundy
Domaine Jean Chauvenet's 2021 Vosne-Romanée "Aux Raviolles" originates from a 0.31-hectare parcel of 40-year-old vines planted in silty, sandy soils near the border with Nuits-Saint-Georges. This Pinot Noir offers a perfumed bouquet of red berries and dried florals, leading to a palate with vibrant acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a long, fresh finish.
About The Producer
?Domaine Jean Chauvenet, established in 1964 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy, is a family-owned estate currently managed by Christophe and Christine Drag since 1994. The domaine spans approximately 9 hectares, predominantly cultivating Pinot Noir across several appellations, including notable Premier Cru vineyards such as Les Bousselots, Rue de Chaux, Les Damodes, Les Perrières, and Les Vaucrains. Committed to sustainable viticulture, the estate has practiced 'lutte raisonnée' since 1994 and achieved High Environmental Value (HVE) certification. Their winemaking approach emphasizes traditional methods, including manual harvesting, 100% destemming, and aging in oak barrels for about 18 months without fining or filtration, resulting in wines characterized by elegance, structure, and a true expression of their terroir. ?
