The 2022 Lynch-Bages is being spoken of as one of the finest the estate has ever produced. Jeb Dunnuck awarded it 99, James Suckling 98, Decanter 97, Vinous 97, Wine Spectator 96, Wine Advocate 94+. The blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, and 3% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot was aged 18 months in 75% new oak under winemaker Nicolas Labenne, and the wine shows a power and depth that sets it apart from recent vintages. Inky and opaque in color, the nose is packed with crème de cassis, blueberry pie, black truffle, and crushed rock. Full-bodied, massively concentrated, and yet beautifully balanced on the palate, with velvety tannins and a mineral finish that lingers for close to a minute. This is Lynch-Bages at its very best, and the price is exceptional for a wine drawing these scores. It won't be available like this for long.

About The Producer

Château Lynch-Bages, a Fifth Growth in Pauillac classified in 1855, has built a reputation that far exceeds its ranking. Acquired by the Cazes family in 1939, the estate became one of Bordeaux’s most beloved names thanks to consistent quality, powerful Cabernet-driven blends, and international acclaim. Today, Lynch-Bages is undergoing a new chapter with modern facilities while maintaining its classic, age-worthy Pauillac style.
