The 2017 Lynch-Bages punched well above its vintage weight. Decanter, Jeb Dunnuck, James Suckling, and Wine Enthusiast all awarded 95, Wine Advocate 94, Wine Spectator 94, and Vinous 93. A blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine delivers the classic Lynch-Bages profile with the freshness and energy that the cooler 2017 vintage lent to the better wines of the Left Bank. Deep black fruit, pencil lead, tobacco, and crushed stone on the nose, moving to a structured, medium-full palate with good backbone and impressive length. A beautiful Pauillac drinking well now with plenty of road ahead, and the price we have it at is incredibly good.

About The Producer

Château Lynch-Bages, a Fifth Growth in Pauillac classified in 1855, has built a reputation that far exceeds its ranking. Acquired by the Cazes family in 1939, the estate became one of Bordeaux’s most beloved names thanks to consistent quality, powerful Cabernet-driven blends, and international acclaim. Today, Lynch-Bages is undergoing a new chapter with modern facilities while maintaining its classic, age-worthy Pauillac style.
