About The Producer

Château Canon, located in the prestigious Saint-Émilion appellation of Bordeaux, France, boasts a rich history dating back to the 18th century. The estate was founded by Jacques Kanon in 1760, whose name the château still bears today. Renowned for its picturesque vineyards perched on the limestone plateau, Château Canon has long been celebrated for its exceptional terroir. Over the centuries, the estate changed hands several times, each owner contributing to its legacy of excellence in winemaking. In 1951, the Wertheimer family, owners of the Chanel fashion house, acquired Château Canon, ushering in a new era of revitalization and innovation. Under their stewardship, extensive renovations were undertaken, and significant investments were made in both the vineyards and the cellar. Today, Château Canon is acclaimed for producing some of the finest wines in Saint-Émilion, consistently reflecting the elegance, complexity, and timeless quality that has defined this historic estate for over two centuries.
