This is a rare bottling in every respect, sourced from 40 plots of old vines across nine lieux-dits within Cramant, with only 3,880 bottles produced. Gimonnet himself considers it the ne plus ultra of his single-village Special Club cuvées, and the 2016 vintage bears that out. Precise and focused, it wafts from the glass with jasmine, Asian pear, citrus, and hazelnut before finishing long and saline, with all the prerequisite structure for extended aging.
