The 2012 Screaming Eagle is intense and refined, with aromas of cassis, cedar, and graphite. It’s richly textured, with smooth tannins and a lengthy, elegant finish.

About The Producer

What can we say about Screaming Eagle you don’t already know? Well, here’s a cool anecdote, maybe: back in the day (1988 or so) Jean Phillips (the original SE owner) and Ren Harris (of Paradigm) owned a real estate firm together and their friend Heidi Barrett was helping both of them make wine (Jean literally in a plastic garbage can back then). They would at times each make a 50% contribution of wine and bottle it to GIVE to clients as gifts and as a kind of business card. The label had their names, and the titles “Landbrokers”. We have a bottle of the 1992 in our company cellar -- an incredibly rare and basically priceless wine as the 1992 Screaming Eagle, of course, is a legend that launched 1000 “cult wine” ships! Most of these now rare bottle were probably consumed right away -- hard to imagine these days! So there you go -- fun Screaming Eagle fact of the day!
