A dazzling wine that is thriving at the seven year mark. Aged in neutral large-format oak and given more than 50% stem inclusion, this opens brightly with pomegranate seed and Mandarin orange zest that mingles well with smoldering stones, charcuterie and shades of bulls blood. The palate is dazzling in terms of tension and weightless throughout the drinking experience. Drinking slightly better upon release, this wine could only be from one place and made by one producer. A total masterpiece, enjoy now and over the next few years. But why wait?

The 2018 Grenache La Paciencia Vineyard is a standout bottling that was aged entirely in neutral large-format oak and saw more than 50% stem inclusion. The stony tones on the nose really entice as orange zest, teaberry, saline-drenched red cherry and charcuterie tones all come together marvelously. The palate is seamless and elegant, with impeccable texture and beautiful length. Obviously, a bit richer than other vintages, this shows crazy good finesse and offers one-of-a-kind terroir.

Displaying a soft nose, the 2018 Syrah la Paciencia Vineyard offers dusty, dark red-fruited aromas that waft with notions of dusty red flowers, cinnamon-spiced potpourri and dried lavender. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is balanced with a delightful mineral tension and flavors of smoked strawberries with red and black peppercorn essence. Finishing with a persistent flavor of dusty plum skin, the wine is nimble and food-friendly. Only 4,200 bottles were made after resting 22 months in neutral oak barrels.
