Barbaresco! When done right like this 93-point stunner – it is among the most elegant, thought-provoking, and enduring wines in the world. At our special price – it can be yours today!

RIVETTI!!! One of our favorite Italian family producers, who focus on the ultimate expression of Piemonte...nebbiolo. The hill of Serraboella is one of the finest spots in all of Barbaresco for this fickle grape to thrive – and the Rivetti family makes it sing as only a few other producers can.

We just tasted with Davide Rivetti last week, and we’re completely blown away by the new releases in the portfolio. Young Barbaresco can be an unruly beast, however, as the vast potential of youth will often need a couple years, and a few minutes in the decanter to really show at its very best. But luckily, we were prepared and followed up the tasting with a bottle of this! A stunningly elegant expression of Serraboella’s revered hill – this 93-point beauty makes use of old and young vines to find the sweet spot of boisterous florals and fruit with earthy and spice-driven depth and complexity. Revealing a simply gorgeous perfume of blue flowers, black tea, sweet cherry, sandalwood, blood orange, sun-ripe plums, a touch of mint, even, with a completely soft and silky finish that stretches on impressively.

Organic and sustainable farming has been the focus for decades, and these wines often outshine their neighbors, while maintaining their highly attractive price point! We routinely put these in blind tastings up against the best of the region...and if you love Barbaresco the way we do, you’ll want to do the same!! Drinks like something three times the price – but at our price of under $29 on all 3+ bottle orders? Well, it’s pure, unadulterated bliss!!!

PAIRING IDEAS: A little creamy polenta, with a heap of Parmigiano Reggiano, a slow-cooked egg, and a handful of butter-glazed mushrooms (chanterelles, perhaps?), and you’ll be a happy camper.

About The Producer

Massimo Rivetti Family Farm with its 25 hectares, cultivated under the organic certification, grows both traditional and international grapes. The annual production is around 100.000 bottles, mainly divided between Barbaresco and Barbera d'Alba. All the fields are grouped around three farm houses: Froi, Garassino and Palazzina. Inside the first one, situated into the village of Neive, there is the winery which is built on Serraboella hill, one of the most important for the production of Barbaresco.
