Burgundy is the motherland of Pinot Noir. These wines are celebrated worldwide for their elegance, complexity, and sense of place, and are often among the most sought-after wines in the world. With their layered flavor profiles, small-scale production, ancient limestone soils, and centuries of winemaking tradition – it’s no wonder Burgundy tips the scales of wine greatness.

These are the wines of royalty, of class, of great distinction, grown on ancient lands and made with meticulous care and standards. To enjoy an excellent Burgundy is to take part in history, and for that reason, we will always continue to seek out the best bottlings from the most cherished producers.

This Joseph Drouhin Meursault from the fabulous 2022 vintage. 94 points, under $90, and simply teeming with almond and vanilla aromas, accentuated by pear compote, preserved lemon, and white flower flavors.

About The Producer

Founded in Beaune in 1880, Maison Joesph Drouhin cellars have spread from the historical cellars of the Dukes of Burgundy and the Kings of France in Beaune to the Moulin de Vaudon. Today the house is run by Joesph's four grand children who practiaclly grew up in the vineyards and cellars. With 80 hectares (197.5 acres), the Joseph Drouhin Domaine is one of the largest estates in the region. It owns vineyards in all of Burgundy: Chablis (38 hectares - 94 acres), Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, (38.5 hectares - 95 acres), Côte Chalonnaise (3.5 hectares - 8.5 acres). It is comprised of a majority of Premier and Grand Crus, planted with the two Burgundian grape varietals, pinot noir and chardonnay. With close to 90 different appellations, Joseph Drouhin offers a fascinating array of Burgundy terroirs and all their subtle variations.
