A rare and compelling Rhône white, the Gourt de Mautens Blanc 2016 is a richly textured blend offering notes of stone fruit, beeswax, and almond. Its layered depth and vibrant acidity create a wine that is both powerful and precise. In magnum format, this wine will age gracefully, gaining even more nuance over time.

About The Producer

Domaine Gourt de Mautens, under the guidance of Jérôme Bressy, stands as a beacon of artisanal winemaking in the southern Rhône. Located in Rasteau, the estate was founded in 1996 when Bressy took over his family's vineyards, determined to preserve and revive the region’s historical grape varieties and traditional methods. Committed to biodynamic farming, Bressy cultivates a mosaic of ancient vines, including Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre, and a host of forgotten indigenous varietals, on the estate’s rugged limestone and marl soils. His meticulous, low-intervention winemaking results in wines of extraordinary complexity, concentration, and purity. Today, Gourt de Mautens has earned a cult following for its unique expression of the terroir, blending the boldness of the Rhône with an almost Burgundian elegance.
