Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon AVA Series Tour 2018 (3-Pack)
59% OFF RETAIL!
Napa Cab lovers, welcome to heaven! This is one of those deals that even we can’t quite wrap our minds around… Three AVA-designated Cabernet Sauvignons from prime Napa sites (Chiles Valley, Mt. Veeder, and Rutherford) and a rocking vintage that scored 99 points from Wine Spectator?! Does it get much better than this?
Conn Creek has produced exceptional wines from the heart of Rutherford since 1973, but before their estate vineyard bore fruit, they were shaking hands and slinging contracts with some of the most premium site owners across the valley. All of this led to the creation of a top portfolio of Cabernet Sauvignons from all over Napa Valley, and they helped remove the stigma that once plagued Napa’s wine industry around sourcing grapes from other growers. Conn Creek was also considered to be one of the valley’s first sustainably focused wineries, and today’s captivating bottles are pulled from their impressive AVA series!
Did I mention each one of these gems would go for $105-$135 at the winery, but now you can snatch up all three for under $50 a bottle? Severely limited, of course, and sure to scoot quicker than you’d imagine. This is the lowest price anywhere you’ll find these at – just be sure you don’t miss them!
Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon AVA Series Chiles Valley Napa Valley 2018 Starting with the Chiles Valley bottling coming from the Rancho El Adobe Vineyard, this vibrant Cabernet showcases red plum, black currant, and dried herb aromatics. The long, skinny, high-elevation valley sits on the eastern side of the Vaca mountain range, quite far from what many consider Napa Valley “proper,” with alluvial soils composed of silty clay and loam. Bright acidity and firm tannins give it a focused, lively profile, with layers of spice and mineral undertones adding dimension. Its freshness and structure make it versatile and food-friendly!
Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon AVA Series Mt. Veeder Napa Valley 2018 With 93 points from Decanter, and completely on the opposite side of Napa Valley from Chiles Valley, the Mt. Veeder bottling is “terrifically flashy and opulent,” and “full-bodied and full-throttle on the attack…” Yep, that’s just how I like ‘em! The deep ruby wine has loads of blackberry and cherry notes, with integrated expressions of dried sage, black plum, violets, iron, and charred cedar. This is magnificently elegant and smooth, with dusty tannins, generous acidity, and a boisterous energy.
Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon AVA Series Rutherford Napa Valley 2018 Wrapping up on the valley floor, in Conn Creek’s home AVA of Rutherford, this final bottling captures the hallmark elegance of this prestigious AVA, featuring flavors of blackberry preserves, cassis, cinnamon, cocoa powder, and dark cherry. Subtle notes of tobacco and leather add depth, supported by a silky texture and balanced acidity. Its polished tannins and classic structure make it an excellent candidate for long-term cellaring…if you can wait!
Pop at least one of these polished, giving, and adventuresome 3-packs into your cart for a proper tasting tour across Napa Valley! While they last!
