Château Troplong Mondot has a long and colorful history in Saint-Emilion that dates back to the 18th century. It sits adjacent to the famed Château Pavie, and the renowned 43-hectare estate is a consistent top-performer on the Right Bank. In recent years, Michel Rolland has elevated the status of this great estate further still, yet Troplong Mondot has had a long heritage in Bordeaux, dating back to 1745 when the chateau was built on the vineyard land in one of Bordeaux's most beautiful villages, Saint-Emilion. In fact, it’s located at the highest point of Saint-Emilion’s limestone plateau, where limestone, clay, gravel and sand all play nicely together to create wines of depth and power. Check out these wines and scores for yourself from one of the greatest estates in Bordeaux, and forge onward to snag yourself a 6-pack before our limited numbers disappear for good!

About The Producer

Troplong Mondot is our ace in the hole of Saint Emilion, consistently turning out spectacular wines despite the quality of the vintage. While the estate has changed hands many times over the years, it has most recently been sold for a record setting 3.3 million dollars per acre! The new owners quickly started expanding their vineyard holdings and hiring Aymeric de Gironde as the estate director. They also began the construction of a new cellar that will be done in 2020. Look for good things coming here!
