The 2004 Cailloux is a textbook Cayuse Syrah, with black olive, pepper, and meaty richness at its core. Still vibrant, it shows both structure and complexity. A wine that bridges youth and maturity beautifully.

About The Producer

Cayuse Vineyards was founded in 1997 by French vigneron Christophe Baron, who recognized the untapped potential of the rocky, cobblestone soils in Walla Walla’s “Stone Cairn” region of Oregon and Washington. Planting vines where few thought they could thrive, Baron pioneered a distinctive style of biodynamically farmed, Rhône-inspired wines that are now among the most coveted in the U.S. The estate is renowned for its limited-production Syrah, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon, each marked by a unique sense of place and the signature “minerality” of Cayuse’s stony terroir. Today, Cayuse stands as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most iconic and collectible producers.
