Domaine Vacheron! Organic and biodynamic since 2000, the Vacherons are without question one of Sancerre’s leading winemaking clans, and we’re stoked to have this limited wine available to you today! These will go quickly!
We can scarcely get anything from Sancerre these days, so to have this recent release from one of the region’s most exceptional producers… well, it feels pretty darn great! From the family’s pioneering work in identifying and utilizing the region’s top terroirs, to their leading position in biodynamic viticulture today, there are few (if any) artisans in Sancerre as exacting or as respected.
The “Les Romains” was the first wine that pushed the Vacherons toward single-vineyard bottlings in order to understand, appreciate, and delight in the terroir-specific personalities of a Sancerre. This site is atop 100% silex flint soils and the slope is completely southern-facing, lending a stern ageability to this wine with notes of lemon zest, myriad flowers, crunchy Bosc pear, and a smoky sea salt finish. This 2023 vintage is as bright and delectable and energetic as you might expect, coming from the ever-revered Domaine Vacheron! Limited bottles remain, so move quickly and sip the rest of your summer away in style!
