A classic cool-vintage expression, the 2021 Montée de Tonnerre is tightly coiled and electric, delivering a crystalline purity that speaks to both terroir and tradition. Notes of crushed oyster shell, lemon blossom, and flinty minerality race across the palate with striking intensity. This is Raveneau at its most chiseled—built for the patient collector, with years of evolution ahead.

About The Producer

François Raveneau established the domaine in 1948 by combining vineyards that he had purchased with vineyards owned by the family of his wife, who was part of the Dauvissat wine family. The wines are a rare find—exceptional because the vineyard holdings are almost entirely made of grand cru and premier cru fruit.
