Today, we have a stupendous 99-POINT Cabernet Sauvignon from the masterful hands of winemakers Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky. This is one of the best expressions of Sauvignon Blanc from anywhere in the world – and certainly in this country – from a revered label and one of the all-time greatest recent vintages. It makes sense, as Robin Daniel Lail seems to have great wine in her blood. Her great-granduncle, Captain Gustav Niebaum, founded Inglenook Vineyards in 1879, which quickly grew to become known as one of the finest wineries in the country. Though Inglenook sold in 1964, Robin has maintained her family’s respect for and dedication to crafting elegant and authentic wines in the Napa Valley within Lail Vineyards, founded in 1995 with her two daughters.
