We are thrilled to share Lail Vineyards' eagerly awaited 2024 Blueprint Sauvignon Blanc, paired with a momentous milestone. The iconic Robin Lail was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at Auction Napa Valley on June 6th, recognizing her influential leadership and essential work in founding the auction. This release reflects the elegance and vibrance of Robin herself, offering exceptional quality at an unbeatable entry-level price point!

Robin Lail is, of course, a Napa Valley legend – she literally grew up in a winery. Her family founded Inglenook Vineyards in 1879 thanks to her great-granduncle, the legendary Captain Gustave Niebaum, and Inglenook was brought to new levels of prominence by her father, John Daniel. Robin, for her part, was a founding partner at Dominus, before creating her eponymous Lail Vineyards. Napa as we know it simply would not be the same without this family!

On top of her tremendous family roots, Robin was also on the founding planning committee of Auction Napa Valley in 1981. In the years since, she has tirelessly worked to encourage winemakers to participate and made use of her extensive connections throughout the valley to garner support for the auction. With her guidance, the auction has become one of the most charitable wine auctions in the world – a big part of why she was rightfully awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award on June 6th.

We’re thrilled to raise our glasses to Robin in perpetual reverence and admiration! To celebrate her great work throughout Napa Valley, we have the incredible 2024 Blueprint Sauvignon Blanc available today. Made by the rather impressive duo of Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky, the wine boasts a 94-point score along with even more glowing critics’ reviews. The Blueprint wines were created to celebrate Robin’s great work in climate action and preserving the environment – and while the pricing is more entry-level compared to the winery’s other wines, the quality is exemplary.

Check out the reviews below, and then jump on this extraordinary bottling from a true Napa Valley hero and legend. We don’t have much, and we can’t promise it'll be around for long!

About The Producer

Robin Daniel Lail’s heritage began in 1879 with the founding of Inglenook Vineyards by her great-granduncle, the iconic Captain Gustave Niebaum. Robin is a legend, helping found Dominus and Merryvale, she is one of the most influential women in Napa Valley history and remains that way to this day. She saw the talent in a young Philippe Melka and hired him as winemaker, it was one of his very first gigs in Napa and has remained at the helm of winemaking ever since.
