Highly rated by Wine Advocate, this 1997 La Mondotte shows concentration beyond the vintage’s reputation. Dark plum, espresso, licorice, and mineral tones carry through a dense yet polished palate. The magnum format enhances balance and longevity, making it a compelling mature Right Bank wine.

About The Producer

La Mondotte is a tiny, high-elevation Saint-Émilion estate that gained prominence in the 1990s for its intensely concentrated wines. Under the ownership of the von Neipperg family, viticulture and winemaking were refined to emphasize precision and balance. Today, La Mondotte produces limited quantities of powerful yet polished wines that rank among the appellation’s most coveted.
