Master of Wine, Morgan Twain Peterson continues his family legacy of preserving old vineyards and making incredible wines with a 97 point 2023 powerhouse that is the highest rated Zinfandel blend in Wine Spectator history! “Impeccably structured and infused with personality and polish...”... why, tell us more, please!
Bedrock’s Morgan Twain Peterson had some big shoes to fill. His father is the legendary Joel Peterson, the man who put Ravenswood (and many would argue, California Zinfandel) on the proverbial map. Morgan got started early, making his first wine at just (double-checks notes) five years old! That now infamous “Vino Bambino” made its way onto the wine lists of some all-time American greats, and Morgan’s continued impact on the wine industry has only grown with time.
2023 is already shaping up to be one of the most incredible vintages in recent memory, and Bedrock’s 97 point new release of their estate vineyard’s Heritage red blend surely stands among the finest California field-blends ever crafted. “The 2023 Bedrock Heritage Wine is one of the best recent vintages of this wine I have tasted,” states Vinous’s 95 point review, and we’re in total agreement!
Zinfandel, Carignan, Mataro, and an astonishing 24 other grape varieties all come together to create a uniquely California wine that somehow bears a close kinship to the top wines of the Southern Rhône. Spicy, richly fruited, with a decadent savoriness – this has ample dark black and blue berries, with accents of dried herbs, clove, dark chocolate, blood orange, and whispers of pine. It is a treasure-worthy gem of the Golden State that we are thrilled to offer at a special price of just $49.95!
