Winemaker extraordinaire, grape whisperer, and all-in-all cool dude, Julien Fayard – yes, he of the countless 100-point scores – has hit another one into the stratosphere! If you like your Cab blends pretty, rich, expertly crafted, ready to pop open immediately – and for a shock-inducing discount – today is your day, folks!

Sure, if you create a portfolio of wines and proceed to dub them with monikers like Icon, Hero, and Cult – you’re bound to catch a little flack. Is it a bit precious, or is it a self-fulfilling prophecy? Is it perhaps a bit of both? We’re no one to judge – except for the wine, of course, and this one straight-up rocks. To have it for a world-beating price... color us elated! Beau Vigne has consistently over-delivered for years and years – becoming one of Robert Parker Jr.’s favorite wineries in the process, with a role call of superstar winemaking alum that should turn any head – Dave Phinney, Kirk Venge, and now, Julien Fayard? Trust us, we’re just as star struck!

This wine absolutely lives up to the names that precede it, too. Blended from 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Petit Verdot – it is simply a gorgeous, sumptuous, juicy-juice beauty of a wine. The fruit comes from top vineyards from across Napa Valley, intertwining to tell a holistic story of the land and vintage (2021 was pretty darn perfect, as you may know). It ages for 17 months in 45% new French oak for a wickedly smooth, delicately balanced stunner of a red blend. This is incredibly limited juice, a tiny production that is magnificently hard to get ahold of – not to mention at our exceptional price!

That sleek and sexy sheer ruby color, the bright and toned aromas of red raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and roasted sage – forever and ever, yes! Ever more berries on the palate, plus succulent plum notes, some lush, creamy milk chocolate and vanilla accents – all supported with great concentration and a medium structure throughout... for under $30? 92 points, too? This is sure to impress – and I’m not just talking about the packaging (though it is pretty cool...). Make some of this yours and we’re certain you’ll be stoked that you did!

PAIRING IDEAS: We’re getting Gott’s to-go – a Napa and Bay Area burger joint staple – but if you’re not local, fire up the grill to make your own green chile cheeseburger topped with grilled Anaheim chiles, jack cheese, red onion, lettuce, green salsa, and a healthy slather of mayo. The spicy, smoky, and creamy elements are sure to sing alongside this big, juicy Cab blend!
