Jeb Dunnuck called it a rich ruby hue with savory, layered aromas of red cherry, saddle leather, cedar, damp forest floor, and wild herbs, medium to full-bodied with ample tension, notes of red plum, currant, dried roses, and white pepper. Wine Advocate suggested opening your bottle four hours before serving, calling this a Brunello that takes its time but inches over the senses with carefully increasing intensity, with firm young tannins that need extra time to evolve. A wine built for patience.
