Cristom Pinot Noir Marjorie Vineyard 2014 - First Bottle

Reviews

96 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
Pale to medium ruby in color, the whole cluster component stands out a little bit more on the nose of the 2014 Pinot Noir Marjorie Vineyard at this youthful stage, hovering over a core of ripe red cherries, red currant and rhubarb with hints of damp earth, moss and sage, plus a waft of flowers. Medium-bodied, the palate is packed with intense red berry and earth flavors layered with a firm strap of finely-grained tannins and a racy acid line, finishing long with some alluring spices coming through. Wow.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
A major score DIRECT from the winery cellar. $69.95?! 96 points! Those who know and love Cristom’s heady, racy wines, you better jump on this quick! Only 15 cases!

Cristom was founded in 1992, and for many years was THE savvy Eola-Amity Hills “insider” wine. Alas, eventually, the critics found them and the lavish praise brought them to the forefront. SO -- it’s incredible that we found this highly-allocated single-vineyard masterpiece (most often found only in restaurants) stored at the winery that they were willing to let go of. It’s an undeniably deep and complex wine, with a killer line of acidity that will appeal to the most avid pinot collector.

Whether you know Cristom or this might be your first introduction, you cannot miss this superb buy. First come, first served…!

About the Producer

Cristom Vineyards was established by visionary founder, Paul Gerrie and his wife Eileen in 1992, who each possess a deep-rooted respect for the land, the natural winemaking process, and Pinot Noir. More than 25 years later, second-generation winegrower and owner Tom Gerrie leads winemaker Steve Doerner and the tenured viticulture team in tending the Estate vineyards, and producing elegant, dynamic wines, recognizable by their hallmark style of whole-cluster fermentation by native yeasts.
