Union Sacre Cabernet Sauvignon La Passion du Diable 2016
Was $85. The deals are still coming. Juicy, forward, gregarious Cabernet that is simply astoundingly priced. First come, first served…!
Man, is this gorgeous or what? You’re going to love the bottle, not to mention the juice!
Made by two long time friends, Xavier Arnaudin and Philip Muzzy, whose lives intersected from opposite ends of the Earth in the Central Coast. Xavier is an oenologist from France, and Philip is a self-taught designer from Michigan. Together they now have 25+ years experience working in Central Coast wineries and together are crushing it. This Cab is a blend of Star Lane in Santa Ynez (60%) and Chelle Mountain (40%) from York Mountain AVA in San Luis Obispo.
Read a bit more about this very cool project HERE, if you like, but as noted, this is a very friendly, highly aromatic Cab, with tons of violets and lavender, peppered plums, currant and licorice, with some warm baking spices thrown in as well. It is large scaled and modern without being over-oaked or too ripe. Just a jaw-dropper of a deal...did we mention $29.95? While it lasts…!
