Reviews

95 Wine Spectator -
Linear in profile, taut and racy. The cherry, berry, mineral, tar and tobacco notes are backed by a vibrant structure. This is all about purity and refinement, with intensity driving this to a long aftertaste. Best from 2020 through 2036. 225 cases made, 80 cases imported.

About the Producer

Located in northern Piemonte in the commune of Gattinara, this high altitude, cool climate site creates mineral and earth driven Nebbiolo that rival the very best wines of Barolo and Barbaresco. The Antoniolo family uses a light touch to allow the pure and precise flavors to shine. Founded in 1949 and today operated by Lorella and Alberto Antoniolo, this small 37 acre estate is a standard bearer of Gattinara and the most respected producer in the region. Here in the glacial moraine soils of Gattinara, the winery farms only the indigenous Nebbiolo and Erbaluce and creates age worthy wines that rival some of the greats of the world.
