Domaine Vincent Dureuil-Janthial Rully Rouge Chapitre 1er Cru 2017

I've been following young vigneron Vincent Dureuil for more many years now and he is simply the most talented grower and winemaker in the Cote Chalonaise that I know of. There is just no comparison at this point, but his leadership in elvating the quality of wines is spurring a whole movement. Many vignerons just don't want to put in the time, effort and investment in the vineyards that he does unless they are in the Cote de Beaune. His 2017s are otherworldly, in short, he is on the top of his game. These wines are just too good to miss and on par with any of the wines produced in the Cote d'Or. In a recent tasting of Cote Chalonaise wines conducted by Wine Advocate, William Kelly proclaimed that, "Vincent Dureuil can make a strong claim to rank as the finest producer in the Côte Chalonnaise."
