Reviews

94 Wine Spectator -
An opulent, well-structured style, providing an ideal foil for the concentrated black cherry, blackberry, plum, herb and earth flavors. Packed with sweet, ripe fruit, this is dense and muscular, showing all the right components. Fine length. Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2019 through 2029. 300 cases made, 120 cases imported.

Bindi Sergardi Mocenni 91 Tuscany IGT 2013

Cabernet Blends  |  Italy
WS94

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!

It is with great pride that we can offer the brilliant Bindi Sergardi “Mocenni 91” Cabernet Sauvignon. One of the most important families and producers in the Siena/Chianti area, this is top-notch juice that MUST be tasted!

A client favorite here at the First Bottle World Headquarters, the Bindi Sergardi family is LITERALLY royalty in this part of Tuscany, dating back to the mid-1300s when the family led an army that defeated the Aretines and were installed as governors of the Republic. As they have for 600+ years, they continue to farm grapes, olives, and animals on their landholdings. VERY cool story here for history buffs, check it out when you have time (after pouring a big glass of this and putting the pasta on to boil).

We got about 10 of those 120 imported! First come, first served...!

About the Producer

Bindi Sergardi's lands spread over 1000 hectares in the province of Siena. The 100 hectares of vineyards are planted in the important DOCG of Chianti Classico, Chianti Colli Senesi and Chianti. The Mocenni Estate is near Valgliagli, just north of SIena. The vineyards of Mocenni lie on an amphitheatre-shaped land facing south and enjoying full light and warmth.
