Pagodes de Cos Saint Estephe 2015 (375mL)

A 94-point super second wine from one of the stars of Saint-Estephe. As Wine Enthusiast raves, "This wine is dense, complex and with great tannins. It is powerful and rich, packed with black fruits." We drink ‘em when the spouse is out of town, picnics, pack it in our luggage, smuggle into the movies...and having some of the rare Pagodes de Cos is about as cool as it gets. $179.70 a 6-pack, delivered! Cos has been on such a roll as of late, making the best wines in their storied history in the last handful of vintages, outperforming the top wines in all of Bordeaux. 

‘15 is a powerful vintage, of course, in Bordeaux, and this little bottle of richness has dark black fruits, mocha, tobacco leaf, toasted spice and good freshness, too, despite its plush texture. It’s just PERFECT. I’d highly recommend a 6-pack...for our price? Second wine of a second growth! While it lasts…!
