Castellare I Sodi di San Niccolo Tuscany IGT 2015 - First Bottle

Reviews

98 Vinous -
The 2015 I Sodi di San Niccolo is just stratospheric. That's pretty much all there is to it. Plush, deep and explosive, the 2015 possesses magnificent depth. The 15% Malvasia Nera gives tannic backbone and energy to balance the wine's natural richness. Sweet red cherry, cedar, smoke, tobacco and licorice build in a racy, flamboyant Sodi that hits all the right notes. In a word: stunning!
96 James Suckling -
Explosive fruit on the nose with dark cherries and plums, but there are also lots of fresh fragrances here, including spearmint, eucalyptus, forest floor and boysenberries. The palate is very pure and focused, the driven acidity providing a welcome counterpoint to the layers of rich, dark fruit. A blend of 85 per cent sangioveto and 15 per cent malvasia nera. Drink from 2022.

“In a word: stunning!” - AG

We are...well, blown away. Castellare I Sodi di San Niccolo is one of the greatest Italian wines on Earth, and we scored a small parcel some months back at OUTRAGEOUS pricing, BEFORE the big score came out. It just landed here in Napa. You’ll NOT see a better deal. MAGNUMS, too! Amazing but super limited!

Our advice? Grab a few and then mix in some well-selected “under-$30” wines and get free shipping. We have TONS of great stuff (with big scores, too!) to drink and share while your big guns age in the cellar for a bit. HERE is a selection of wines under $60 with 95 points or better!

But back to this masterpiece. Our incredible, best-in-the-USA-pricing is:

BOTTLE -- $64.95!!  **eyes popping** $85 elsewhere!
MAGNUM - $139.95!!

In stock and ready to go ---  while they last that is! Don’t miss!

About the Producer

Castellare di Castellina was born of the union of four estates (Castellare, Caselle, San Niccolò and Le Case) on the initiative of Paolo Panerai, with the aim of producing wine of the best possible quality. This was in the 1970s, when the so-called Renaissance of Italian wine had begun.
