The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from Stone the Crows is beautifully polished and nuanced. Bright red cherry, pomegranate, kirsch, mint and wild flowers all develop with air, but it is the wine's textural feel that stands out most. Silky tannins add to the wine's considerable finesse. This is one of the more restrained 2015s readers will come across. I would prefer to give the 2015 at least a few years to allow the tannins to soften. Even at this early stage, though, the 2015 is compelling.

About the Producer
Stone the Crows is a single vineyard, estate grown wine, produced entirely of fruit from the Three Twins Vineyard.
Densely planted in 2005 on steep hillsides, the vines are pruned to
yield no more than three tons per acre. The fruit is crushed nearby in
St. Helena at Mending Wall, and aged for twenty months in French oak.
