Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
Congrats to Camille Besson -- the recent recipient of the GJPV Bourgogne Young Talent award in 2018, a huge honor to be recognized as the top young talent in all of Chablis! She leads the winemaking at this 4th generation family-run winery, and we are stoked to be one of the few places in the U.S. to even have this!

With holdings of just one-third of an acre in Les Clos, their crown jewel vines, which are mid-slope in the Clos and constitute just 5 rows, are something that the winery truly treasures. Only 800 bottles were produced in 2016 so we are honored to have any at all to sell, especially at this price. There is no new oak here to hide the gorgeous minerality and concentration that only this vineyard can provide. On our visit in the spring, Camille was so very proud of this wine. Since the production is so small, this will never be submitted for scores, but we can assure you, this is world-class!

About the Producer

Domaine Besson's history dates back to 1902 and spans four generations. In 1902, Eugne Besson planted 7.58 hectares off vines in Chablis. Today his grandson, Alain, owns the Domaine. Alain's daughter Camille received her diploma of oenology in 2013 and leads their winemaking efforts. Like most Burgundy growers, Alain holds a hearty respect for the land. He uses a minimum of sprays and fertilizers and takes a non-interventionist approach to farming. He secured some fantastic parcels over the years, expanding to 52 acres of Chablis, Petit Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru and Chablis Grand Cru. They produce two Grand Crus, one from Vaudesir and the other from a tiny plot of vines smack dab in the middle of the legendary Le Clos vineyard.
