Coho Cabernet Sauvignon SoNa Premiere Napa Valley 2016
Indeed! We do it every year! Yes, it’s PREMIERE RELEASE WEEK (click for info from the Napa Valley Vintners) and that means we get to unleash this outrageously good, virtual UNICORN of a wine (as noted, there are 60 bottles made!!) upon savvy Cabernet-hunters across the land today — wow! We bought this lot last year after tasting dozens upon dozens of these super-limited offerings — we know and love the Coho wines, especially since Phillip Titus has been making these wines, so it was pretty much a no-brainer to snag this super-limited cuvee. You are going to FLIP when you taste it!
Winemaker Phillip Titus sources fruit from a special, not-to-be-named spot in the Coombsville district of Napa, just a handful of miles south of Pritchard Hill, and part of the same Vaca mountain range. Coombsville is where all the hottest brands are swarming these days and in a fantastic vintage like 2016, this is a gorgeous, opulent, structured, concentrated blockbuster of a Cab. Collectors, this is what you’ve been seeking! CLICK HERE for some more information from the NVV about winery owner Gary Lipp, and a bit of info about the winemaker. These are truly rare bottlings!
$174.95 —- exactly 60 bottles to sell (practically nothing!), with the Premiere Napa Valley special label. First come, first served…!
