Since then, he’s become a cult hero of sorts, making full-bore wines with beautiful, intense layers of complexity.

WA94+: “Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Estate Vineyard leaps from the glass with exuberant notes of red currant jelly, black raspberries and kirsch followed up by potpourri, lavender, dark chocolate, black soil and wild thyme scents. Medium to full-bodied, the palate totally overdelivers on the fruit vivacity, with intense layers of fragrant earth and red berry notions and a firm yet plush frame, finishing very long and very lively. 150 cases produced.”
