Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Guigne Chevres 2017
If you know Sancerre, you KNOW Vacheron. If you don't, you need to get some to experience this brilliance. Great-grandfather Maurice Vacheron tended a few vines back when Sancerre was but a stop on a village road. Today, Sancerre and Vacheron in particular are hotter than ever. We wrestled away just five cases of the freshly landed Guigne Chevres, our favorite single vineyard of the vintage in the range.
2017 is a warm vintage, and while yield was generally very low, quality is high. The Guigne Chevres site is well-suited for the warmth with north-facing exposure and a layer of Silex (flint) over limestone and clay. This vineyard just killed it in '17! Biodynamic farming helps highlight the terroir and singularity of the vineyards tended today by grandsons Jean-Laurent and Jean-Dominique.
The laser-focused, fantastic Guigne Chevres has not been rated yet, but those in the know are well aware that it will disappear long before any press comes along!! INTENSE, TANGY, RACY, MINERALLY BRILLIANCE!
ONLY 5 CASES TO SELL, SADLY --- good luck!! While it lasts..!
