Domaine Arlaud Père et Fils Morey-Saint-Denis Aux Cheseaux Premier Cru 2021 - First Bottle

Reviews

90-92 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
From a site with shallow, calcium-rich soils, the 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Aux Cheseaux is another pure, filigreed wine, exhibiting aromas of red berries, plums, raw cocoa and petals. Medium-bodied, delicate and mineral, with melting, powdery tannins and a perfumed finish, it privileges finesse over power.

About the Producer

Domaine Arlaud is a on a roll right now. With roots back to 1942 when Joseph Arlaud married Renee Amiot, whose family was deeply engrained in Burgundian wine culture, the family inherited some incredible holdings that they still farm today according to the rules of biodynamics. Joseph's son Herve Arlaud took over the estate in 1982 and expanded the domaine with purchases of prime vineyards, mostly in their home village of Morey St. Denis. Today, the star of the show is Hevre's son Cyprien, who in the last ten years, has come into his own as one of the most exciting growers in all of France.
