The 2017 Chardonnay B. Thieriot Vineyard is another positively stunning wine in this range. Bright, focused and intensely saline, the Thieriot also has enough fruit to balance out the wine's structural elements. Lemon peel, white flowers, chalk, and mint all grace this exquisite, nuanced Chardonnay from Rivers-Marie. This fruit, harvested on September 25, was the last pick of the year.

One of the more prized bottlings from Rivers-Marie. Thomas wanted to work with this fruit so badly he agreed to make wine for the owner of the vineyard and in return scored a long-term lease. Well played Mr. Brown.
About the Producer
Thomas Rivers Brown and Genevieve Marie Welsh started Rivers Marie in 2002 making single variety wines made to reflect the vineyard & vintage from which they came. Focusing on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet, the wines are normally sold through the mailing list only but we called in a favor with Thomas for just a few cases.
