The 2017 Chardonnay Joy Road Vineyard is soft, supple and viscous in the glass, with striking nuance and textural raciness. Apricot, peach, yellow flowers, chamomile and lightly honeyed notes all grace this soft, open-knit Chardonnay. Joy Road is the warmest of the Chardonnay sites Rivers-Marie works with, so it is not a surprise that this is the most accessible of the Chardonnays in the range in 2017.

About the Producer

Thomas Rivers Brown and Genevieve Marie Welsh started Rivers Marie in 2002 making single variety wines made to reflect the vineyard & vintage from which they came. Focusing on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet, the wines are normally sold through the mailing list only but we called in a favor with Thomas for just a few cases.
