Domaine Lecheneaut Chambolle Musigny 2014 - First Bottle

Reviews

91 Burghound -
An elegant and airy nose exhibits an attractively broad-ranging array of floral, pomegranate, red cherry and discreet spice nuances. Once again there is fine verve and freshness to the beautifully detailed and delicious mineral-inflected flavors that are lacy yet the moderately firm and slightly austere finish makes clear that this too will need a few years first to shed some of its tannic spine.

About the Producer

During the late 1950’s, Moreysien de souche Fernand Lecheneaut founded the house in Nuits Saint Georges. The domain contained 6 acres of vineyards, divided among Nuits Saint Georges, Chambolle Musigny, and Morey Saint Denis. Additional vineyards were obtained in Nuits and in Vosne and later in Chambolle and Gevrey and most recently the illustrious Premier Crus of Nuits “Les Pruliers” and Morey “le Clos des Ormes”. Organic framing and biodynamic priciples are applied in the vineyard and the winemaking is non-interventional and traditional.
