Preciado Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

So -- this is a project from Brent Sloan -- he was GM at Outpost for many years. Much like our Sleeper label, due to Brent’s killer industry connections, this is sourced from top (and I mean top) wineries around the Valley. Now, we taste a LOT of this kind of thing, and we don’t sell but maybe 2% of what we taste. PRECIADO makes the cut, big time. $55 for Napa Cab with this much power and richness is a DEAL! 2016 is a world-class, powerful but balanced vintage here in Napa --- trust your wine merchant!

This reminds us, or puts us in the mind of, wines like Mondavi Reserve, or maybe Quintessa. Definitely in the “over $90” club. Dark and intense, with rich mocha and boysenberry flavors and the silky, succulent tannins that wrap themselves around your mouth. Long and spicy and VERY satisfying juice!

Here’s the winery tasting note: “The 2016 vintage Preciado offers an inviting inky color, deep blue and black fruit aromas with hints of dark plum and cocoa. A lush palate of textured tannins leads the way with flavors of decadent dark fruit, black cherry, anise and cedar with a well structured, earthy finish.”

C’mon! This is not $90, or $125, no, it is $54.95.
