Sante Arcangeli Pinot Noir Lester Vineyard 2017 - First Bottle

Reviews

95 Wine Enthusiast -
Aromas of cherry and boysenberry meet with roasted pork, smoke and flowers in this bottling from a coveted vineyard in the Corralitos area. There is great freshness and snap to the palate, which offers flavors of black raspberry, red currant, bay leaf, dried mint and crushed purple flowers.

Every once in a while, a winery or wine comes along through our tasting gauntlet that is totally, unexpectedly AMAZING. Winemaker/proprietor John Benedetti founded Sante Arcangeli (named after his great-grandfather) after getting hooked on 20-year old Chateauneuf-du-Pape in college. That set him on his career path -- read a lot more about him HERE on his website, if you like. Suffice it to say he succeeded!

Trust us -- this is FANTASTIC, complex, layered stuff from the Lester Vineyard in Corralitos (Santa Cruz Mountains), which has ideal pinot conditions due to the elevation and maritime influence. This oozes class and breed with a light handed winemaking style that shows off the incredible terroir.

At $39.95, this is a massive no-brainer in our book, if you love beautifully-made, finesse-filled pinot noir. C’mon!! 95 points!

We have exactly 5 cases to sell...please let us know ASAP!
